In January, our 8th grade Marine Biology students (and a few others) left the cold of New York at home as they headed south to Miami.
With their Marine Biologist hats on, students snorkeled in Florida’s vibrant reefs, encountered alligators up close and learned about their habitats, explored the mangroves by kayak, and breathed in fresh air from vast protected reserves while spotting magnificent birds. They learned, bonded, and created lasting memories while discovering the beauty and importance of nature and biodiversity in the Sunshine State! A special thank you to chaperones Hilary Kwaka, Fanny Debais, and Dawn Callahan. See many photos of this incredible experience here.
