Dear Members of the FASNY Family,

I am writing to provide you with an update regarding our Head of School search and the process we intend to follow. This change of leadership marks an important opportunity in the life of FASNY, one that the Board of Trustees is undertaking with both eager anticipation and great care.

Eight members of the school community have been appointed to serve on the Head of School Search Committee. They are:

  • Bruno Bolzan, Committee Chair - Trustee, Parent, Alumni Parent
  • Elizabeth Durand - Secretary, Board of Trustees; Alumni Parent
  • Tarek Fadel - Vice Chair, Board of Trustees; Parent
  • Maureen Fonseca - Trustee
  • Marc Kramer - Trustee, Parent, Alumni Parent
  • Ali Nekmouche - Trustee, Parent
  • Antoine Remy - Trustee, Parent, Alumni Parent
  • Emmanuèle Vinciguerra - Chair, Board of Trustees; Parent; Alumni Parent

We are pleased to announce that the Board has retained the highly respected educational consulting firm of Wickenden Associates in Princeton, New Jersey, to assist us in the search. Wickenden Associates has conducted nearly 400 Head of School searches for a wide variety of schools across the nation.

Search Consultants Amy Shen, Senior Search Consultant Zachary White, and President Jim Wickenden will be visiting the school today and tomorrow, September 20 and 21, 2018, to meet with the Search Committee and to conduct a series of interviews with representatives of each of the school's constituencies. The information they collect will help them to develop a thorough understanding of our leadership requirements and will also be used in the development of an opportunity statement that will inform potential candidates about this unique career opportunity.

Please know that your participation in the search process is welcome and very important. We are eager to hear your thoughts about our school's strengths and challenges as well as the qualities we should be seeking in our next Head of School. To that end, I encourage you to complete a brief survey that is available at the following link:

The online form may also be used to confidentially suggest potential candidates. We ask that you complete the survey by Thursday, September 27.

Thank you in advance for your support as we undertake this important and exciting work on behalf of FASNY. Rest assured that we will keep you informed as the process proceeds.
