A drawing by Keara Leaity '24 has been selected by the Larchmont Mamaroneck Lions Club to advance to the next level of the 2018-2019 Lions International Peace Poster Competition.

All seventh graders at FASNY created posters for the contest, whose theme this year is "Kindness Matters." The works of three students—Keara Leaity, Madeleine Vuillemin, and Sarah Pace—were chosen to be entered in the competition by a FASNY jury consisting of art teacher Victoria Rolett, community service coordinator Anita Giordano, and student support associate Zoubir Addou. "We had such a hard time deciding, that we also gave honorable mentions to Guillaume Quinzin and Flore Porcherot," said Ms. Rolett.

Each year, Lions Clubs around the world sponsor the Lions International Peace Poster Competition. Open to children ages 11 to 13, the contest encourages young people to express their visions of peace through art.
