The 2nd Annual Grandparents’ and Special Visitors’ Day began at 9:00 on the Ridgeway campus with nearly 70 grandparents and special visitors enjoying a breakfast of croissants and fruit before driving to the Scarsdale and Larchmont campuses for a morning of activities with the children.
Head of School Joel Peinado welcomed the group in French and in English and explained that everyone was truly excited to begin this tradition of bridging generations in the classroom. The logistics were challenging in the case of visitors with grandchildren on both campuses but, in the end, everyone was able to visit all FASNY students.
Grandparents, aunts, uncles and other special visitors read books, were entertained by choral groups, made crafts and had their photographs taken by members of the Development Office.

Secondary School students under Mrs Stephenson's direction put together an amazing show "Once In This Island".
The success of the musical was due to the very talented actors but also to all those who helped with lighting, music, choreography and set design.

40 student and adult volunteers worked very hard putting the whole luncheon together and we could not do it without them. We fed 130 people, and all went home with a homemade Thanksgiving dinner and grocery bags full of donated food items. We also still have plenty of food, which will be donated to CAP Center.
We would like to share an article from the Larchmont Mamaroneck Patch regarding this great community initiative. Please click on the Larchmont Mamaroneck Patch Article to see it.
A special thank you to the parents and school staff members working very hard in the kitchen, cooking this wonderful meal. The members this year were Mr. Didier Javice, Mr. and Mrs. Charriaud, Anne-Lise Diamond, Mischa Zabotin and his cousin, Mr. and Mrs. Varjacques, Mrs. Nadege Franken, Debbie Kozlowski and lets not forget Yuval, who comes every year and oversees all the kitchen preparations. Coach Taylor who provides security and ambiance music. Lucas Zabotin was a great help to me all day and he stayed with me afterwards cleaning up at the end of the day. A special thank you to the original team, Lea and Miriam Varjacques, Charlie Javice and Jeremy Diamond, who started this project five years ago, and an extra special thank you to Margaux Blanchard, head of this year's student team. Margaux worked very hard on this project from beginning to end soliciting, publicizing, fundraising and keeping track of funds and inventory. This year's team members were, Naomi Gourd, Manon de Villemejane, Lea Jabbour, Emilie Pourchet, Ben Draghi and Justin Sage. I would like to give a special thank you to Mrs. Couty for taking charge of all the volunteers and putting them to work preparing and setting tables, making sure things were running smoothly and overseeing every details. Thank you also to the teachers who cook the turkeys every year. This project is a team effort and could not be done without the help of all the volunteers.
It is such a great privilege and honor to be part of this wonderful project!
Thank you. Anita

Dear Parents and Fasny Community,
Equipment For Progress, an NGO run by four 11 Grade students attending FASNY are asking for your help for their organization. Your previous help earler this year was fantastic; they had amazing results, converting children's dreams into realities. As this is the end of soccer season, they are asking for your help by donating your used soccer equipment to their organization. Any item that they obtain can help the lives of children who are less fortunate in Argentina.
With your help they can make a significant difference; these talented children in need deserve elite equipment that they dont get in other parts of the world. There will be a bin after the Thanksgiving break in the cafeteria for children to be able to drop off their equipment. Thank you for taking your time to help in any way.
To learn more about our organization, please visit our website: http://equiprogreso.iconosites.com or our facebook page at Equipment For Progress.
Thank you so much! The Equipment for Progress Team

Gracias, Merci, Thank you !
