Students at FASNY benefit from a typical American athletic program combined with the rich traditions of sport and competition they bring from their homelands. All students participate in weekly physical education classes at FASNY. We also offer a highly regarded interscholastic sports program for interested students in the Upper School. The interscholastic sports program provides a safe learning environment and instills the skills necessary to participate in a lifetime of athletic and recreational activity. FASNY teams compete in the Fairchester Athletic Association, which is comprised of teams from Fairfield County, Connecticut and Westchester County, New York. Many top level public and private schools compete in this league as well as with teams from New York City.
Most students interested in a sport are given the opportunity to play at FASNY. They are required to attend every practice and game for playing eligibility. Athletic activities are limited to three per week, including practices and games.
